The 13th Taiwan International Documentary Festival (TIDFF) has been set to be held at National Taiwan University (NTU). TIDFF is the only documentary festival in Taiwan that invites the world’s top international documentaries. The festivals mission is to introduce Taiwan’s unique documentary culture to the world.
As the world’s first international documentary festival, the 13th Taiwan International Documentary Festival (TIIDF) is the only festival in Asia dedicated to documentary films. It was launched in 2005 and has enjoyed unceasing fervor ever since.
The 13th Taiwan International Documentary Festival (TIDFF) is the country’s largest film festival, which was established in 1993. The festival is held in five cities in Taiwan during the months of June, July, and August.
Documentary films will be accepted until December 20th, 2021, at the Taiwan International Documentary Festival.
The following is information about the festival: Taiwan International Documentary Festival (TIDF) has been held biennially since 1998 and is organized by the Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute. TIDF presents documentaries that reflect current society and push limits, with the motto “Re-encounter Reality” as its fundamental concept.
TIDF accepts films on any topic and in any format, and encourages entries from individuals who are interested in exploring and experimenting with documentary filmmaking’s aesthetics. We’re seeking for films that are original, innovative, and relevant to social and human concerns. Through a variety of screenings, seminars, and other events, TIDF, as one of Asia’s main documentary film festivals, focuses on showcasing exceptional Asian documentaries, fostering stronger connections among regional filmmakers, and increasing exchanges between Taiwan and the rest of the globe.
General Guidelines: – Documentaries of all types, genres, durations, and media are accepted in the festival. All films that the creators or production companies believe to be documentaries are accepted. – Films must be finished by the 1st of December, 2019. – Except for Taiwanese films produced by Taiwanese filmmakers with a National Identification Card or Taiwan Resident Certificate, a Taiwan Premiere is needed. – Films that are not in Mandarin or English must have Chinese or English subtitles. — There is no entry fee. – December 20th, 2021 (12 p.m. GMT+8) is the deadline. – Deadline for notification: mid-February 2022
