VENOM 2 RELEASE DATE POSTPONED DUE TO SPIDER-MAN 3: NO WAY HOME
Let’s face it: the DC cinematic universe is now a disaster. We’re still not sure what’s canon and what isn’t. Following the release of the Snyder edit of The Justice League, Warner Bros. said that the film was only for entertainment purposes and should not be regarded official canon.
The Batman (2022) and Joker (2019) are in different cinematic worlds from The Justice League, but speculation has it that their respective filmmakers Matt Reeves and Todd Phillips may be bringing the two films together after Joaquin Phoenix signed on for another project.
Warner Bros. should simply go crazy and muck up the cinematic mythology even more at this point. Despite earlier implying that The Justice League narrative arc will end with Aquaman 2, Henry Cavill has confirmed that he will return for at least one more film. So they could easily have two Supergirls, or they could just replace that soap opera actress. Chlo Grace Moretz, according to fans, would be ideal for the part.
One ecstatic admirer commented, “She’s a knockout.” Another said, “It’s perfect for her.”
“I’d be in favor of it. She’s always made me feel like Supergirl […] I’ve always thought she should attempt more superhero flicks after being in the Kick Ass movies.”
Chloe Grace Moretz was only 13 years old when she appeared in her first R-rated superhero film, Hit-Girl in Kick-Ass (2010), and she quickly became a fan favorite.
Supergirl will make her debut in The Flash, which will air globally on November 4th, 2022. The part of Kara Zor-El has already been cast, which is unfortunate for Mortez fans. In the forthcoming superhero film, Sasha Calle (The Young and the Restless) has been cast as Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, alongside problem kid Ezra Miller. Sasha Calle will be making her film debut in this film.
Warner Bros. has also given the greenlight to a solo Supergirl picture starring Sasha Calle, which will be released in late 2023.
